Who make it possible

BIG LOTTERY
In September 2017 the YES Project was awarded £484,961 from the Reaching Communities Fund to deliver housing and debt advice service.

BBC CHILDREN IN NEED
The BBC Children in Need had been funding our Music & Media - Acting Sound project since 2012. The project aims to introduce young people to music, media and the creative arts before helping them to pursue their interests by providing free access to resources, spaces, lessons and workshops.

YOUTH INVESTMENT FUND
The Youth Investment Fund provides new opportunities for young people to get involved in their communities, support their personal development and get the skills and confidence they need to enter the workplace. The fund is made up of £40 million of government and National Lottery funding from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and the Big Lottery Fund.

COMIC RELIEF
Comic Relief has funded several projects within the centre. In 2016 the YES Project received £28,476 to fund the YES Project Manager post and £71,757
funded our Youth Club through the Sport for Change project. Comic Relief defines Sport for Change as bringing about positive social change for individuals and communities through the intentional use of sport and physical activity.

RANK FOUNDATION
The Rank Foundation is a grant giving charitable trust, restricted to causes within the UK approved by the Charity Commission. They have supported Centre 63 for many years and have invested in young people within Knowsley.

JOHN MOORES
John Moores Foundation is a registered charity, established in 1964, that gives money to community organisations doing charitable work. They focus on funding projects based in Merseyside. They aim to enable people who face barriers as a result of social, educational, physical, economic, cultural, or geographical disadvantages and to improve their social conditions and quality of life. They give our full support to Centre 63.

HENRY SMITH
The Henry Smith Charity has been helping combat disadvantage and poverty since 1628. Nearly four centuries after we were first established, The Henry Smith Charity is one of the largest grant making charities in Britain; making grants of over £30 million in 2017. The Henry Smith Charity aims to bring about lasting change to people’s lives, helping them to benefit from and contribute to society. The Charity has been supporting Centre 63 since 2005 through their ‘Improving Lives’ grant programme, which provides grants to charitable organisations that help people when other sources of support have failed, are inappropriate, or are simply not available.

CFM
The Community Foundation for Merseyside has been supporting the centre and our community for several years. The Foundation has been a great supporter, offering their wealth of experience, knowledge, expertise and bespoke advice to ensure that we make an impact where it is most needed. Since 1999, they have distributed in excess of £40 million to charities and community groups in Merseyside. Their knowledge of the sector allows us to find and reach charities in our community, including lesser-known charities operating at a grassroots level; ensuring charitable awards create lasting change.
